Lake Ashi features familiar lakeside scenes, exotic cruise ships and an iconic Japanese torii. There are many tours to be taken here, one the water and up in a cable car.
Beautiful and scenic lake. Great place to escape to on a sunny day. Many places such as restaurants and tourists centers around the lake seem to have closed since April 2020. Bring own lunches!
We took the short boat ride from one side of the lake to the other and It was an experience like no other. I haven't see a lake to beautiful until now. There is a need to preserve these natural wonders as they serve to refresh the human mind. It cleanses the soul for even a moment. Although I did not see Fuji-san, I was able to take some pretty swell pics of the shore-side torii.
This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, so high in the mountains that while you are on the boat crossing the lake you can run your hand through the clouds. Truly a beautiful place of peace.
