Japan's First and only International Business Case Competition GBCC is Japan’s first international undergraduate business case competition. GBCC differentiates itself by following core concepts of diversity, synergy, innovation, mentorship, and the Japanese concept of Ichigo Ichie, while also providing students, sponsors, APU, and local communities with long-term benefits designed to reward their hard work and participation. Creating Values without borders. GBCC will enable its participants with a new understanding of just how important different minds and backgrounds can be in an ever-changing business environment. Under GBCC’s time restraints and thorough judging, competing teams will have to become diamond-like in their harmony and teamwork if they wish to succeed. Fierce Competition Twelve teams from universities across the world face off in a two-round contest. Four students come together to devise a solution to a real-world business problem, with only 24 hours to use their knowledge of business and ingenuity to create a fully-fledged proposal. The teams then go on to present in front of a panel of judges, and those victorious in their preliminary division round move on to the final round. By the Students, for the Students GBCC is fully organized by the students of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University who understand that an international case competition promotes the growth of all students involved, be they participants or part of the planning committee. Building Future Leaders Companies supporting GBCC’s continued efforts gain opportunities for networking, promotion, and market expansion thanks to the visibility and exposure across APU’s campus and social network. Sponsor participation also offers up-and-coming talent inspiration and can represent a community-minded moment of corporate kindness in the news media.
