The church was amazing, but the staff was quite rude. I didn’t think that could happen on a Christmas Day. I took a picture just of the Christmas installation not the church, and then saw a no photo sign, so I was going to ask if it was ok, and was ready to delete the photo if i had to. I’m not even sure if the lady saw me taking a picture, but she was really rude when I went to ask a question, so I just left shocked by the situation, without asking anything. I asked “I’m sorry can I ask a question?” And she said in a very rude manner “keep your social distance from me” (I didn’t even come that close to her it was like plenty of room between us). So i stood in a silence for a while and then said “Nevermind, it’s ok” “If that’s all go away because we are going to close” and I just apologized and left (The conversation was all in Japanese). I might go back there because the church was really great and I felt peaceful staying there, but I’ll sure never try to talk to anyone in there. This is the reason why so many young people staying away from churches, not wanting to enter even if they do believe in God. Merry Christmas!

Catholic church. Really beautiful inside. Mass times - Japanese Sunday 10am Friday 10. 30am
Visited this grand old church on a quiet weekday. The gate at one end of the church grounds was locked so we had to walk over to the other end to enter.
The first catholic church dedicated to St. Francis Xavier in Japan. Worth a visit if u so happen to be around Sudobashi area. Will hold many wedding ceremonies at week end. Prepared to wait until ceremony is over or check with office beforehand.
We went for mass in this Catholic Church. Beautiful architecture with nice stained-glass windows.
