The cost to enter Hakone Skyline is 800 and if you reach the end of the drive which takes about 30 minutes driving through is another toll for 270. Although quite beautiful to drive through with breathtaking views of Fujisan and Lake Ashi, not sure I would do it again. My favorite spot is Lake Ashinoko from Lake Ashinoko Tenbo Park but many roadside spots to stop and take landscape photos from.

Great ridgeline views out over Ashinoko and Susono. Fuji can be seen on clear days. There are nice benches here for picnics but no toilets.
Hakone observatory is the perfect view for the sunset. The sun nestles in between the high hills/mountains along the horizon. We hiked a little up the path but did not want to get lost in the dark! The scene of water was also breathtaking ️
Nice stop to have a good view of hakone and its surroundings from above. You can also enjoy looking at Mt Fuji during Nice weather.
This is an absolute must-see place! If you want to get out of the big city and see Japan's majestic beauty, this place is for you.
