Bicycle shop are hit or miss. They can range from knowledgeable owners who are begrudgingly friendly only so they can take your cash, to some with outright disdain for the amateur. Pokito a Poko is a rare find in that they are extremely professional and genuinely kind. I had some work done recently and while my tires were off I realized I did not have any cash on hand. It was embarrassing but the owner did not even flinch. We quickly worked out a solution and all was well in under an hour. I highly recommend the shop no matter your level of cycling expertise or your fluency in Japanese. You will be very well taken care of at Pokito a Poko.
Great bike shop. The guy at the shop is really nice and helped us to find good restaurant. We took normal bike for rent 800/day. Electric bike 2500/day.
Great place to get yourself a bike and start the cycling route around lake Tama. English is not a problem and the owner is very nice! Street/electro bike was around 2500 for the entire day.
It’s the best bike shop I have ever been. I broke my chain stupidly when riding around Lake Tama-ko. And luckily I found this shop and it’s open during the golden week in Japan. The mechanic is quiet professional. He fixed the chain immediately and explained everything in simple Japanese that I can understand. He ever spent half an hour adjusting my shifters and derailleur without further expense. Oh, just moved. I will continue going there and have more chat with him. So nice guy!
