Drove here with our bikes. Very nice peaceful ride around. Can rent tandem bikes too. No cars. Paths for pedestrians and bikes. Flowers promised year round. May not be flowering all the time but it is beautiful. Some cafes and lots of benches and places to chill and enjoy the scenery. Be sure to bundle up bc it’s quite windy as it’s seaside.

Hitachi Seaside Park facing the Pacific Ocean, the park offers 4 season flowers in large gardens throughout the year. In spring, narcissuses, tulips and phenomenal nemophila (baby blue eyes) attract lots of visitors around the world. In early summer, poppies and roses, and in summer, zinnias and sunflowers, bloom. In autumn, you can enjoy spectacular kochia (summer cypress) and cosmos flowers. In winter, ice tulips can be seen, making for a rich complement of flora throughout the year. Besides, the park also allow you to enjoy nature include the Rinkan Athletic Grounds, Barbecue Zone, and Cycling Course. To get here, you can take Hitachi Line from Ueno \u003e Katsuta which is covered by JR Pass but unfortunately you’ve take a bus from Katsuta there to park. It is definitely a unique attraction which makes the money justifiable. Make sure you check online the type/species of flower blooming status, during the season before your go. So, you won't get upset if you expect to see certain species over there. “国营常陆海滨公园”/ “Hitachi Seaside Park” 位于日本茨城县，东临太平洋。 茨城在日本旧时代的行政区划体系中称常陆国，“常陆”的日文假名与日立一样，写作ひたち（Hitachi）， 所以常被中文错误XXX翻译做“日立海滨公园”，事实上官方确认的翻译应为“国营常陆海滨公园”。 如何从东京方向乘搭到“国营常陆海滨公园” / “Hitachi Seaside Park” 从东京站乘坐「JR常磐线」特急列车「常陆号」（HITACHI）出发，大约80分钟抵达茨城县勝田駅前。 再从勝田駅前站乘坐巴士，大约20分钟即可到达了「国营常陆海滨公园」。 公园春季：有粉蝶花 （琉璃唐草）、水仙、郁金香、薰衣草，初夏：有罂粟花、玫瑰，夏季：有百日菊、向日葵， 秋季：有扫帚草（人气红毛球）、大波斯菊，冬季：有郁金香和梅花等，一年四季都有各种各样的花草供游客观赏。 公园尤为出名的应该是花卉区（みはらしの丘），有世界十大浪漫花田之称，每逢4月下旬至5月下旬， 这里都会绽放着450余万株风姿绰约的蓝白色粉蝶花海，仿佛坠入阿凡达蓝色的世界。 到了秋天10月下旬扫帚草就会由绿黄转红呈现艳丽的深红色山丘。如果想要体验当地生活，不妨带上简食、野餐布，坐在草地上欣赏这番美景。 由于公园占地太广，全程步行非常耗费体力，许多游客会选择乘坐公园的海滨小火车或者在园内租赁自行车游览。 海滨小火车会在每个区域和公园的4个大门都设有停靠站。公园内的自行车租赁点也分别设在4个大门入口处， 而且需在租借处归还自行车。
Huge park with splendid variety of flowers . It has it all , nature, amusement park, athletic area, golf area, BBQ area. You can rent a bicycle to roam around the park. They have a guided tour in lap of nature. They also have jumping dome for kids near tamago (artificial playing eggs) area. You can spend whole day .
Very beautiful park with lots of activities and views ,there is sea area,sand area,stone area,golf area,climbing area,cycling area,lake area , traditional houses, big forest, fountain, playground with huge wheel, glass cafe with nice sea view many vending machines and rest rooms and amazing Rose's, I wished I had seen it on spring season
Too much beautiful and colorful.You will feel like lost in the flower garden! Perfect place for amazing photography. Love the place. Ticket price is only 450 yen.
