Perfect sized airport. Not to big not to small. The gift items are good and you can find all the local items. Prices are a little high than you will find at a store in town, but not that much. There is some local hot food served on the first floor arrival lobby. A Starbucks as well, but you might want to try Doug’s coffee for a more local flavor of Okinawa

This airport is good as an island airport!! Really modern and clean! They have Starbucks as well!!! The building looks new and most of the facility is clean! They have nice cafeteria and tables and souvenir shops! You can wait comfortably with it! And views from the roof deck was great! Not only the runway view you can see stunning coast from it!! They have not only domestic line but also international line as well! I like here!

New airport on Ishigaki Island. It is a compact local airport. Perhaps there is no ANA lounge? There were many tourists in the lobby on the first floor, and it was lively despite the corona disaster. It's an airport design that makes you feel like a resort.

Compact and modern international airport. Features an obvervation space on the roof allowing to hear and watch planes landing and taking off. Can see the sea on the south direction. The food court is limited but local food is tasty. No lounges are available in this airport. There is a Starbucks in the airport (the only one in Ishigaki). Public buses go to Ishigaki city and one of them goes straight from the airport to Ishigaki port non stop. All car rentals have their pick up/drop off services at the airport.

The international terminal is extremely tiny. It is basically a small, single-floor office building right besides the domestic terminal building. All international flights, airlines and inbound and outbound passengers share the same checkin counters, custom, and waiting lobby. Therefore, Do Not come early before specified checkin time. Otherwise you could bump into an earlier flight’s check-in crews, which only serve that particular flight, and you would still have to wait till it is your flight’s turn. In other words, also do not come late because the personnels at the counters could have been swapped for the next flight by the time you arrive, and you would be doomed. On the contrary, the spacious domestic terminal is the exact opposite, with designated counters for different airlines, souvenir shops, restaurants, restrooms, and more. Luckily, most shops are outside restricted areas, so international passengers could and should wait and relax at the domestic terminal till their checkin times.

The international terminal is extremely small with around 2 Check-in counters (regardless online check-in or not), 1 counter for Customs and 1 counter for Immigration. The restricted area for departure is only a small room with limited seats, passengers have to stand there for departure. No shops inside the international terminal. All major facilities are located at the domestic terminal, including some restaurants and souvenir shops. Lots of seats and tables at domestic terminal. Highly recommended to go domestic terminal after checked-in.

The international terminal is the smallest that I have ever seen - just to serve your fight of international visitors. There are just two immigration counters and could be a queue and questions are asked by the customs officers later. All the shopping and eating facilities are at the domestic terminal, where you can have the first or last try of Oshigaki beef!
