Very Chinese influenced tomb with very detailed art. The signs are in Japanese. There are other movements on the site. Most are in Japanese only. The one with the tribute to 3 Americans who died is in English. It was really heartfelt to read about the history. You realize how far the WWII was felt on all the islands and why the Japanese strove for world peace. Free. Parking on the side. Has bathrooms on site.

Not too many people know about this piece of history. It was refreshing to see this and learn about it. Glad I stopped by here. I'm going to tell more people about this so hopefully it never gets forgotten and more people will stop by here when they visit Ishigaki.

Chinese influenced infrastructure that looks like a Chinese temple. Small place and nothing much to see. There is a grass patch area with three structures or monuments. There is a very small pavilion where you can take some shelter from the hot sun.

A moving story of the tomb. Unfortunately, English description is not available. You need to be able to read either in Chinese or Japanese.

A memorial stating the history of Chinese slaves being shipped to the US but had a riot and escaped to Ishigaki, getting food, shelter, and all kinds of support from the locals, and after a year long fight, the over one hundred slaves could finally go back to Fuzhou, China. So this memorial is a friendship icon between Taiwan/Fuzhou/ishigaki. Thr former Taiwan head wrote calligraphy naming the memorial.

Unexpectedly good for people who can read Chinese and understand some history
