There were not many pieces to see at the studio but you can decorate a supplied piece and they will fire it and mail it to you. The studio/factory is a little run down and a reasonable walk from Nishichaya or the inja temple\ if you are using public transport. But you can always get a tofu icecream on the way back if it's a hot day.

Such beautiful pottery all made on location from the potters wheel through to the final hand painted glaze! We where shown the work room and explained the process from start to finish. It's so wonderful to be able to see and enjoy a stunning local product.
For people who appreciate the art of making pottery, this place cannot be missed. The 5th generation has taken over the responsibilities to continue the legacy. Very beautifully hand crafted pottery including Sake cups piece by piece. Kudos to the maker.
絵付け体験をしてきました。 絵付けの方法や注意点の説明された後、あとは自由に模様をつけてくださーいみたいな自由な感じで模様を描かせてもらえました。 友達と一緒にやってきましたが、みんな夢中になって黙々と進めていました。楽しかったです。
Nous avons été bien accueillis par un monsieur qui nous a présenté en anglais la première salle mais la dame qui faisait la visite nous a refusé l'accès et nous a fermé la porte au nez alors qu'elle faisait la visite à un petit groupe de japonais. Nous avons fait tout ce chemin pour cela. Grande déception !
