A great place for a quiet day trip. There's a place for reading thousands of picture books in multiple languages, which is where families with young children (and solo adults) could spend hours reading. There was an exhibit on the history of picture books. All the explanations were in Japanese, but many of the texts themselves were in English. In addition, exhibits on Beatrix Potter and a special exhibit on American picture books meant that we spent a fair amount of time wandering around. Finally, the picture book shop was very fun. The books were from all around the world, and in both English and Japanese.
Great to hang out with small children. Many books, also in English, great park to run around.
英語の本がたくさんありました。もちろん日本語の本もありました。 絵本がどうやって今の絵本になったのかが学べて興味深かったです。 グリム童話の展示の時に行きましたが、グリム童話をいろんな観点から見れて、見方が変わりました。 素晴らしい場所です。是非軽井沢に訪れた時は立ち寄るべきです。
コテージ風のお洒落な建物が一つ一つ展示館になっている。移動する際、表の新鮮な空気と美しい景色でリフレッシュされる。なかなか趣向が凝らしてある。絵本より建物や景色が気に入りました。
