Interest onsen experience. The bath is situated in a small cave. The water was nice, but a bit on the tepid side. If you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, namely, Naka No Yu, you can use the bath for free and the hotel with shuttle you down. You're given 30 minutes of bath time because it can accommodate only two or three people at a time, and you have to reserve your bath ahead of time to ensure availability. If you enjoy onsens, this is worth checking out if you're staying at one of the local hotels.

若干ぬるめのお湯ですが、雰囲気のある洞窟の秘湯温泉です。 完全予約制で、中の湯温泉旅館が受付をしてくれますよ！！
上高地の入り口、釜トンネル入口脇にある秘湯。 貸し切りで、一組ずつしか入れないので、タイミング良くないとなかなか入れない。 トンネル脇の中ノ湯連絡事務所で受け付けしてくれます。 中は洞窟風呂 小さい窓からは、上高地からの清流が豪快な音をたてて流れています。
This hotspring is almost collapsed. So you can't use it. I hope someone resurrects it. 現在は崩壊していることから利用することはできません。 崩壊具合を見ると、結構派手に壊れていたため、残念ですが、直近での復活は難しいかと思います。
貸し切りの露天風呂。 かけ流しの天然温泉ですが、車道に近いのでワイルド感はそれほどありませんでした。
入ってすぐの脱衣所の足の臭いがすごすぎる。中も暗いし、どんよりした感じです。お湯はいいんだろうけど、風呂に入った後にまた脱衣所で汚れるような気がしてお湯より足の臭いが印象的な不快な温泉でした。
日本秘湯の会、中の湯が管理する温泉。中の湯売店で鍵を借ります。中の湯と離れているので送迎してくれます。
好きな温泉でしたが20年3月21日に崩落して埋まってしまいました。 復旧の目処は立っていないそうで閉鎖になっています。
