Kind of foamy, a totally natural onsen. There are two pools. I did not try but the water was warm enough, not super hot that would be tough to get in.
This is basically a thermal tide pool. Your feet are in the water with the crabs and fish. Personally, I liked it, but probably not to everyone's taste.

無料の温泉とありますが、お気持ちを入れて入浴下さい。 この温泉は、潮の満ち引きで、入れる時間帯が変わります。干潮を目指して入浴下さい。 風呂は、二つありますが、海に向かって右側だけが、入浴可能です。 左は、温めで無く冷たいです。 更衣室無しで、混浴です。 私は、風呂の横で全裸になり、チャポリと入りました_ 国後島を見ながら入浴可能です！ とても絶景でした。
羅臼から車を走らすこと30分。セセキの滝を過ぎたらすぐに着きます。数台分の駐車スペースとトイレがあり、瀬石温泉の看板を横目に海岸に下りると、岩風呂のようなものが２つ並んでいます。向かって右の方が温度が高いです。波打つ度に海水が流れ込むパイプがあるので、それを石で塞ぐと湯温が上がって来ます。屈斜路湖の池の湯みたいに岩に少し藻が生えているので滑りやすいです。ワイルドにタラソテラピーを楽しみたい方におススメです。下からかなり高温のお湯がチョロチョロ出ているので、身体を常に動かしていないとチクチク痛く感じます。
