Great slopes at great prices. Even later in the season, the snow was well maintained. The only negative part of my visit was how the lift attendants had no idea what they were doing. They never pull the seat for you, so it slams into your legs and back, pinching your calves between your boots and the seat and really hurting your back. One guy did something weird with the seat so I timed my sitting wrong and got my ski caught under the seat as it moved forward. He had no idea what to do, so I just got dragged up into the air, barely staying on the lift.

Abundand good quality snow, no waiting in the lifts, and the travel by car is pretty easy and fast, with no chains needed nor queues.

Unexpected amezing ski resort, both hachikita and hachi ski grounds are linking togather by mountain peak lift. More than 20 lifts and 4000 meters long course. Almost no foreigner visited here, all japanese snowsports enthusiasts. There are a lot of park area and half pipe zone for x game lovers. More than 100 traditional japanese style small b&b and hotel here, provide cozy service and tasty foods, most with breakfast and dinner, each one has dry room for ski equipment and public hot tubs for exhausting player to recover. Really enjoy the antique old time ambience. There are ski buses from kobe and osaka downtown around 2 - 3 hours journey, it's best way to hachikita ski resort if you dont have private vehicle. Train railway system is not convenient, because no direct one to here needed transfering multi-times. In the ski field there are tons of food choices reataurants and nearby hotel and b&b to deal with lunch and afternoon tea time, but few options for dinner if your dinner not included in hotel plan. The small village also has a lot of terrace farms just like stairs of the mountains, and grow rice on the farms. It's fantastic scenery of japanese agriculture.
