I'm travelling with my family - four of us altogether. My wife and I struggled a bit with this place because it is very noisy. It's on the main road going down the west side of Lake Yamanaka, and the traffic noise is pretty fierce round the clock. However, that was nothing compared to the banging of people walking up and down the corridor outside our room - proper elephant material. I'm quite sure they weren't trying to make that much racket, it's just that the soundproofing is non-existent and the walls are paper thin. Not great, especially since there are a lot of people getting up at stupid o'clock to climb Fuji. The kids slept through it all, but don't they always? It's not really "overlooking" Lake Yamanaka. I find that misleading. Yes, it's near Lake Yamanaka, but don't expect to have a room with a lovely unobscured view of the lake. We had no view at all, despite being on the front side of the building. We had food there on the first night and it was pretty good. Their ramen is supposed to be great but we didn't fancy it due to having had some the night before somewhere else. If you're arriving by bus, there's a stop really close, which is very handy indeed, and it is in a great location to get down to one of the many boat stations and hire anything from a swan pedalo to a full-on speedboat. Buses to and from Fuji are pricey. We spent in excess of 20,000 yen getting to/from stations and up to Fuji. I'm not sure I would recommend this place to friends.

忍野八海の帰りに泊まれるところ探してたのですが偶然バスの中から発見しました。部屋もいくつかありましたが行ったときは他のお客様がいなくて貸し切り状態喫煙エリアからは山中湖も見れて満足でした。かなりリーズナブルと思います。広い駐車場もあるので帰るの面倒になったらのんびりできるかも、です。
山中湖からすぐのところにある民宿。近くにコンビニ、コインランドリーがあり、富士山や山中湖の散策に立地は抜群である。駐車場も広い。 下の喜久屋食堂は地元の方にも人気がある。究極のラーメンやカツ丼が人気で、地元ならではのメニューだと、馬モツ煮やワカサギの唐揚げなどがある。
たまに食事でよってます。 醤油ラーメンと小かつ丼セット 950円 観光地としては安いかも 12時ぐらいは平日でも座席いっぱいの時もあります美味しいです
創業から60年以上続く山中湖の老舗食堂「喜久屋食堂」。 私にとって日本のラーメンの基準となっています。 しっかりと出汁の効いたスープ、丁度良いゆで加減の麺、チャーシューメンマネギワカメ海苔の超定番の構成、丁寧で真面目なクオリティ。 誰しもが人生に一度はこの基本のラーメンを食べて欲しいな。
正しい名称は「お泊り喜久屋」（領収書のハンコがこれでした）。マップでは近くに「民宿きくや」がありますが重複です。
昔ながらの民宿です。 綺麗に改装されていて清潔な屋内ですが、やはりトイレ 洗面共用は遠慮したいです。 お風呂は致し方ないかな、ジェットバスでした。 冷蔵庫も共用。
