水戸駅から来ると誕生の地石碑の陰に位置してます。

小振りの立像なので、駅方面から近づいた場合、手前の柱に隠れて見逃す可能性ありです。

駅近とはいえ人通りの少ないここに建っている理由が不明。水戸駅北口の助さん格さん像で皆満足してここまで足を運ばないような気がします。
