A educational location, combining salmon with local history. Cannot forget to mention those live fishy in tasks! Can spend almost an hour, both indoor and outdoor.

Good place for young generation to get knowledge about salmon in general and other river species. Very good and friendly staffs whose could explained the information in English for our family. Thank you very much.

I did not know anything about salmons, and I learnt a lot. It certainly best if you understand Japanese, but even if you do not, you get the key points thanks to the fact that many posters and videos have translations/subtitles in English. They also tell the successful experiment to bring salmons back to Sapporo in the local river. There are real salmons at different stages of their life, and an extra building with other fish, frogs, and toads. A nice place to spend an hour. Entrance is free. The nearby park is also worth a visit. There were many cherry blossoms at the beginning of May.

Interesting museum. Great to see the live fish at various growth stages in the tanks out the back. Some english information which helped us understand what is being done to return the fish to the local waterways.
