It's small but they do have a lot on display even in English.

You can see dinosaur fossils at this museum. Something quite unexpected in Japan as not all universities have museums of this size. I don’t think even Tokyo or Kyoto Universities have something like this. One of the places to see in Sendai if you are fine with viewing 'indoors' kind of places and looking around universities(which is quite normal in the Western Hemisphere...).

「地球史・人類史」を俯瞰するような展示が本当に凄い！ 東北大学の理学部が収集している自然標本資料が展示しています。 地球の誕生や地殻変動による鉱物展示から、先カンブリア時代の海の中、そして進化の過程を巡るように恐竜の出現までの化石等資料展示、さらには人類登場と文化・科学の発展を騒乱し、最後は宇宙開発で締めるという展示。 本当に面白かったです！ 自然科学系の博物館や展示館が結構行っているのですが、この東北大のはコンパクトでありながら、貴重な標本や展示品だらけで、面白かったし、好きでした！ エントランスを抜ければ、円形の空間にステゴサウルスやフクイラプトルの全身化石、天井には鯨の骨格標本が吊り下げられているという、インパクトあるディスプレイ！
