Basically this lake is closed for public during winter, but you can access it if you participate yourself for midwinter ecological tour. The information is provided in tourist center or even in your accommodation. During the tour, we can access the frozen lake, which is usually inaccessible in summer. Oppositely, the skywalk is closed. When the snow is thick enough, we are even allowed to approach the area around below the skywalk to see the drift ice. However, when I came, the winter was warmer than usual. The snow is not really thick that some grasses growing, and we are not allowed to damage them by stepping on it. The best time to visit is when the sky is clear and the animals can be seen, but anytime possible is okay. Overall, it is very beautiful to see the landscape full of white while listening to the guide explanation.

You can see sika deer, squirrels, bears and foxes living in nature while walking along the promenade. All five lakes are connected by a promenade and are easy to walk and safe. There is also a guide so you can enjoy nature more. The scenery that can be seen depends on the season, so you can enjoy it even if you go many times.
