I’m living in SF so I know what good Mexican restaurants are. It’s hard to find great Mexican restaurants in Tokyo but so far this place is my favorite.

Taste: 4.5; Atmosphere: 4.25; Service: 4; Cost Performance: 4. Part of the curated-collection of restaurants to make the cut at Hiroo’s Eat Play Works. The original Oxomoco is a Michelin-starred restaurant originating from Brooklyn, NY. Taste: while a bit pricey and smaller-sized portions, the taste is extremely good. Sit at the counter or outside on the first-floor terrace, where the staff bring your order.

Really Nice Mexican restaurant. Plate are nicely presented and super high-quality ingredients. Portion is a little bit small but totally worthy for the price! The Frozen Margarita is a must!

Over priced, overrated. If you wanna eat trend meal at the trend restaurant in Hiroo, I can recommend this place. I personally wouldn’t visit there again. Hospitality was uncomfortable, the sauce killed the taste of ingredients.

Lunch menu is 2400 yens. Food is amazing and place really nice.

Part of 'Eat, Play, Works'... Frankly all the restaurants here look great and I plan on trying them all. Oxomoco is serving a really delicious set lunch, Mexican tapas style. Excellent quality and service.

Elevated Mexican in a glam food court setting right next to Hiroo station. Fairly priced with great buzzing atmosphere, this small space, sister of the same restaurant in NY that got a Michelin Star, is tucked behind the stairs in the first floor. We went for a tasting menu (5,000JPY per person) and had way more food than we could handle. Some of it, - like guacamole, - was good, some, especially seviche, was excellent. Tacos/toastados were hit and miss, with me being quite disappointed with the tuna one but loving the steak. Overall, a great place for a fun boozy evening with friends, but go a la cart and don’t forget to make a reservation: the space is fairly tiny.

Elevated mexican, natural wines, what's not to like
