The place itself is really beautiful but the staff is cold. I don’t recommend. They offer their own canoe services but when you have your own equipment, they don’t welcome you or even answer your questions regarding the river...

Great camping ground with plenty of open space to house few big groups, benches and tables installed all around and reasonably clean public bathrooms. Coin operated showers were available for use and a canteen for food and basic drink and snack needs with a supermarket only a 10-15 minute walk away (but be careful it closes early). The canoeing experience (we went with the 1day course) was amazing. The guide was kind and informative and we were taught well on how to ride before we even hit the water. Suitable for beginners and even youngsters.
Awesome campground! 350 yen per person per night. We were there early October and only campers there! It looked like many local kayakers use this place as their base. We did a half-day kayaking experience and it was great! The instructor took our pictures while kayaking. The pics are posted on their website and you can download them later. We also rented bicycles and rode around town, visiting some submersible bridges.
Very helpful coach and guide, the scenery is epic, with reasonable price and full equipment.
