They were extremely rude and made us wait 30 minutes outside before telling us they couldn't allow us to enter. 非常に失礼な対応をされ、外で30分待たされてから「入れません」と言われました。 When we arrived and opened the door, the tables were full, so we waited outside. The staff met us at the door, but didn't greet us nor tell us how long the wait would be. Ten minutes later, one group left, leaving an open table. We continued waiting outside, in front of the window so staff would see us, for 20 more minutes(!) before we had to open the door and ask how much longer. Only then did the staff then tell us they cannot accomodate us "tonight." Even though they KNEW we were waiting outside the whole time. Was it discrimination? Possibly, but hard to say. We travelled 30 minutes to visit this restaurant, and waited 30 minutes, for nothing. We highly recommend you AVOID this restaurant in order to avoid wasting your time.

Really disappointed at the appalling service of this place. It overshadowed the fact I've had this place bookmarked for few years now and finally made it to Kyoto to check it out. The staff barely greeted us and we assumed we just needed to wait since all the tables were full. We stood outside and waited, a few customers left, but 30 mins went by and still no word. We finally went inside to ask how much longer and she told us they couldn't serve us tonight. Safe to say this place is a hard pass for anyone who doesn't want to waste their time.

Wonderful Laotian food. Lovely hosts, strong menu with daily specials. Very pleasant space. Small. Reservations highly recommended.

The food , atmosphere and service was very good but I think it is a bit overpriced for the small portions I mean you have to buy your Rice separately and even with rice I didn't get satisfied with one main dish and paid more than 2500 yen. The interior ist in interesting mix between Cosy, fancy, laotian, Western, modern.. Restaurant is not big but I think still very unique

Stumbled upon this place by accident and we were so happy we did! This was our first time trying laoatian food. We Enjoyed they’re veggie dip, black sticky rice, fish steamed in foil, spicy beef patty and spicy beef salad. By far the fish steamed if foil was the best!! The fresh herbs and veggies combined with the fish went together perfectly! Then ended our meal with a coconut tapioca dessert. The decor, the service and the food were all amazing and leaving us wanting to go back again before we left Kyoto. Definitely recommend.

Hands down my favorite restaurant I had while on my 16 day vacation in Japan. Every dish we had here was perfect. Every cocktail was Just as discribed on the menu. This is a hidden gem!! The design inside is beautiful, the service is amazing.. I would give this place 100 stars. I never go to the same restaurant twice on a vacation, but we are on this trip!!

This adorable little place is sublime. The food is exquisite. We ate there 2 out of our 3 nights there. I would fly back to Japan just to have their amazing dessert.... something with tapioca and coconut milk and coconut ice cream which I think is housemade. The husband and wife team made us feel like we were dining in in their home. Dining there was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.
