Excellent food, easy access to lifts, close to food and drink

Hi we stayed here for 5 nights in January travelling with two kids. I can’t recommend this place enough if you want an authentic Japanese experience in Nozawa Onsen. The owners went out of their way to make us welcome, they have enough English to get by and every morning the cook brought the kids a little toy to keep which made their day. A traditional breakfast is served every morning at 7:30 seated on tatami mats and they also added some more western treats (toasts, rolls etc) for us as we could see everyone else didn’t get this food. It’s right next door to one of the best Onsens, one of the closest guest houses to getting on the escalators up to the snow and very central to all restaurants. We stayed in a quad room with a private bathroom which was great for us with four beds on the tatami mats. There is a slight smell but this is just the minerals from the onsens all around the guesthouse. There is even a small Onsen within the guesthouse using the local heated mineral water if you don’t want to venture out which I really enjoyed and my 10 year old was happy to go along to (the public ones were a little confronting for her). Seriously consider this place for a taste of real Japanese culture with all the conveniences you need. Thanks Chitosekan for an amazing and memorable stay.

場所は大湯の隣で近くにはお土産物屋さん、飲食店があり、ロケーションは良いと思います。駐車場が本館前の狭い道を60m程上がった湯澤神社手前のリゾートインチトセにあります。４台程停めることが出来ますが、狭い所なので小型車が良いと思います。駐車場前の坂の勾配が大きいので、注意しないと駐車場に入れる時に車の底を擦ってしまう可能性がありますので、注意が必要です。親切な女将さんが誘導してくれますので少しは安心です 旅館が古いのは仕方がありませんが、トイレも新しいですし、旅の目的が温泉やスキー等のレジャーならば問題ないと思います。
最低の宿でした 本来なら星1個も付けたくない ある予約サイトから予約を入れたら なぜかすぐに宿から電話が有り 旅館に来るときに、地域から高速代 ５０００円分のクーポンが有る出る ので、こちらで予約しておくから 何もしないでいいと言ってきた なんだか、親切過ぎると思ったが お願いしますと、電話を切った その後、予約日の数日前に 交通手段について電話をしたが クーポンについては何も話が無かった で、当日いったら、しらっと 終わっちゃたんですよ と、無責任に 言われた 友達夫婦も、目が点になってました 2度と行かないし、行きたくない 予約客のキャンセル防止策なのか？ 野沢温泉のやり方なのか？ 不信感を持ちました 駐車場もキツイ坂の上で遠く 足の不自由な方は無理だと思います 客室にも断りなく、平気で出入りするし 他の口コミにも、有るように 物騒な事件が有るのも納得しました
宿の位置は大湯の隣でメインの通りや麻釜へのアクセスも良い。宿自体はとても古く豪華なおばあちゃん家。館内の階段は急で手すりにつかまらないと少々危ないし天井が低いところが多々ある。 旅館のご飯はザ旅館のごはんでボリュームもあり満足です。お風呂は源泉かけ流しでとても気持ちいいがかなり熱いので時間かけて加水しながら入浴するのをおすすめします。また是非行きたいと思います。
元旦から2泊。泥棒あり 朝食の部屋に向かい15分ほどして部屋に戻ると布団がクシャクシャに片付けられてた。侵入者ありスタッフ2名とのこと。財布が元ある場所から少しズレていたので中身を確認したところ、3万ほどなくなっている事に気づく…前日ゲレンデに裸で5万程もっていった余りなのでクシャクシャな状態でしまってあったので確実になくなってる。宿側に問い正すと、何年も働いているバイトだから盗む訳がないと…警察沙汰にしようかと思ったが、時間の無駄と判断し3万は泣き寝入り。やる気のないバイトへのお年玉。こちらの宿へお泊まりの際は貴重品の厳重な管理が必要。コロナの対策も不十分！
建物の中の階段が急です。 お風呂は湯揉みから始まります。 源泉に近いという事。 昭和良き時代の旅館だと思います。 隣が大湯と言うのは、ポイント高いと思います。
