nice old Ryokan to stay , big place , with an underground walk way to annexed building for onsen bath . 2 big open baths, Momoyama is the nicer bath . dinner is served at the dining hall , with good variety of food including beef . delicious ! breakfast is served at another dining hall in buffet style . good food too ! a bit pricey for the hotel , a better recommendation is to stay around Shibu onsen area rather than Yudanaka area .

A very good place to stay and experience traditional Japanese housing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It was a pleasant surprise to have a free drive to the monkey park and back. My husband liked the onsen

Reasonable price with breakfast only or room only option and able to use the great hot spring bath of Yorozuya Ryokan which has super authentic atmosphere. Yorozuya Ryokan provides only half board option for stay, but this annex provides more option fit for your budget. Very recommended. Quality of breakfast buffet was also very good which has been produced by Yorozuya.

I love this hot spring. I stayed many times in the car during the season when the snow did not last last year. If you want to experience the goodness of this place, stay three consecutive nights. If you encounter a wild monkey you will never give bait, monkey invades from the hotel window and vandalises Because it is a bad monkey. I came from Tokyo is an important place where this sparse land gives rest and relief. I hope that what I wish for is not being sightseeing but being a rustic "bamboo lane" road and being strange. I can hardly wait for the quiet space and time here waiting for a stranger.

This hotel is very proximity to the Onsen Street and very Good in the town, clean and big room, very good service (staff can speak english). And they serve a very high quality of dinner. The hotel is located near the yudanaka train station, so dont miss it. Its really good for the Ski trip and Onsen trip!

It was challenging to find the entrance in the dark, but well-lit lobby gave us a hint. Yorozyua isn't an ordinary ryokan, it's a large complex with several buildings, various onsen facilities and dining options. Staff speaks English well and hospitality goes beyond any expectations. Receptionist gave us perfect recommendations on restaurants nearby and explained that hotel gives a free shuttle bus to Jigokudani Monkey Park where we were headed in the morning. They have even moved our luggage to the station! Coffee in the lobby is perfect, and breakfast is quite good as well, with large selection of japanese traditional food along with sausages and fresh vegetables. Speaking of issues - I've got to mention stains on a water tap in the bathroom and lack of light in the traditional spacious room with tatami. Besides, it was very hot but thankfully you can open the window. Great experience overall, taking into consideration huge, clean and well-thought onsen bath.

The staff here are friendly and helpful even by Japanese standards! They watched our bags for us while we went up to see the snow monkeys, and served us a full-spread, traditional kaiseki meal that night. The onsen baths are very clean and well maintained... One of the outdoor ones even had a jacuzzi! Rooms are traditional tatami and futon. Highly recommended!
