Had a fabulous night at Dorobune, delicious food and really friendly atmosphere. Chatting for hours with very kind locals. Intimate and relaxed bar. As mentioned in other posts a little hard to find but well worth the time looking.

A wonderful and cozy bar. Was initially nervous to be going by myself, but I quickly felt relaxed as everyone was so warm and friendly. Would definitely visit again next time I go to Shinjuku!
Easy to find. Cosey place for a nice friendly end to the best holiday. Would come back again. Table fee 400 and I got a nice gin and tonic. ️️️️
It on the second floor! Small quaint place that feels like someone’s living room. We heard that there was good food so went for a drink and something to eat at 830pm before exploring further. There is only Okonomiyaki to eat (which tasted great) but it did take 45 minutes for them to make and we were starving. Very different custom to western culture - we had to get the hostess’ attention for another drink etc. Japanese speaking only and warm environment but we did feel very out of place. Great for locals and Japanese speaking. I feel like the staff were lovely but it’s not really a place for tourists. As for everywhere in Shinjuku quite expensive basic drinks. 400 cover. 800 yen min for dinks. We had 3 drinks and 2 Okonomiyaki for 70 AUD.
What a lovely little place. Highlight of my trip. I was traveling alone and was quite nervous when I walked in . But everyone was so nice, warm which made me feel comfortable even though I spoke very little Japanese. They also recommended me other lesbian bars and events in the area. I will definitely go back next time.
