Kesennuma's beloved local surf shop. Founded in an era where surfing barely had any recognition in Japan, it's now a local mainstay. Located close to the Koizumikaigan beach area, which is home to one of the city's several surf points, Kabutomushi will help you get stocked with whatever equipment you need for your surf trip. A lesser-known fact is that the surf shop also serves lunch, and the napolitan (Japanese-style pasta) here is like a local soul food. Definitely drop by if you're in the area.
