Magnificent place and worth mustering the courage to enter. Just read up on how to use a Japanese sento before you do. No one is rude here, but there is an expectation that you understand Japanese bath etiquette (like any sento or onsen in Japan). There are rules, but those rules are few, and quite simple if you educate yourself before hand and pay attention.

The lady is charge is not rude at all. She's just.... direct. A type of service that anyone would get anywhere from Los Angeles to Berlin and love it. However, in Japan, with the EXTREME service orientation we grow accustomed to, it's a bit different. It's small but it's quite nice of you're in the area. If you're not, there are better ones elsewhere. No external area and just 2 baths with same temperature.

when i read the review i was afraid of the rude people they talk about but when i'm there for my morning bath, i'm suprise the owner there is very polite and even when we talk both using different languages but it seems we do understand each other for basic explaination. u need to pay 100yen for hair dryer and worth 3 minutes function. so far i enjoy.

This is the only sento open at 8 am in the morning around ueno/asakusa.. however i find it quite good.. what i like about this sento: 1. you will be given the public bath etiquette card when you enter the sento and said it's your first experience to use public bath. 2. they provide soap and shampoo (smells good!) 3. the hot water pool inside the bathroom has hot water and very hot water (the bubbly one).. 4. they rent hairdryer, pay 20 for every 3 mins 5. the lady in charge is very helpful, speaks a bit of english and would not mind to direct you to enjoy the sento to the fullest ️ I spent about 540/person for the bath and towel rent.. It was a very nice and relaxing experience P.S: Make sure you remove your shoes first and put it in locker before entering the changing room or the lady would get mad
