In 1969, members of Pieroth Family conducted a test sales for a week in Tokyo. After some other tests with a local importer, Pieroth was finally able to establish their own company in 1974: Pieroth Japan K.K. This was the first foreign wine import company to be set up in Japan. From then sales operations has not ceased to expand in steady ways and comprise at present over 600 employees working from over 45 sales office at different locations nation- wide.
