It does not look or feel like a market. It feels more like a cross between a museum and a hospital. Observation areas looking down to empty stainless steel stalls that are almost scary. Many long wide corridors leads to many dead ends. Even a stair leading to no where? We spent 2 hours diligently following the signs, but got lost many times along with many other visitors. At the end, we did not see a single real fish, only fish pictures on walls. It was 11 am, many shops were closed, only a few dry goods and clothing for you to shop. We went back to the old Tsujiki’s outer market, still busy & vibrant with tons of great street food options! Visit Toyosu only if you have time to kill and be sure you are prepared to handle the frustration of long walks and getting lost for no good reasons!

Very disappointing. Definitely not worth it as a tourist stop, we were expecting at least to see the produce for sale but not even that. So no tuna auctions, no seafood for sale (at least not to the public) or even to walk through the market to see the seafood stands, nothing. After our disappointment we decided to go for lunch and prices were crazy expensive, to give you a figure over 100 usd for 12 pieces of sushi, a soup and a glass of sake. Apparently not like it's predecessor Tsukiji market at all!
WARNING, do not go there. You can not see anything and only local people can go down to buy fish. You go to a 4rth floor that there are only some tourist shops but no fish market... This new place has been build only for people that work there, tourists are annoyance. The only way to enter to the market is going with a guided tour early in the morning but I do not know for sure.
Very disappointing, arrived at 11am and did not see a single fish, no stalls and no auctions, only wholesale buyers can enter the intermediate sale area. Would not recommend boring waste of time
Only come here if you want to line up for Dai Sushi, otherwise it is a waste of time since you can't go to the main floor. The viewing gallery was horrible and you can't even see the auction or anything.
