Can’t recommend this place enough - definitely one of our best dining experience in Japan! The plates are exquisite and carefully prepared by the chef. The menu is in full Japanese, but fear not as we ordered a set menu and asked the chef to give us a surprise for the rest of the dishes (he happily accepted). We were absolutely positively surprised! The chef and his staff are extremely polite and hospitable. They explained every dish to us and their special meanings in Japan (fish and beans stew for happiness in February, soft shell turtle soup that gives you energy etc). We went there early when it just opened for dinner and had almost a private dining experience. Many dishes are exotic, very unique to the area and we haven’t seen the same elsewhere in Japan. They are also very tasty! We were also surprised by how down to earth the price is considering the variety of delicate local food we had and the dining experience. In all, we highly recommend this place to anyone that visits Kyoto and looks for an authentic Japanese dinner.

Superb meal, definitely one of the best of many in Japan!
久々の京都。クチコミを頼りに「雰囲気の良いお店で美味しいお料理を頂きたい。」と来店。当日予約不可で空席あれば利用できるとの情報から18:00開店に合わせて来店。早目の到着でしたが、素敵な笑顔で迎えて頂きました。 お店はL字型カウンターと小上がりがありこじんまりと良い感じ。カウンター席でお世話になりました。お料理担当は男性の板前さん。ホール担当は笑顔こぼれる女性。お通しから絶品。興味深かったトマトの炊いたん…など頂きました。お店のお二人とのお喋りも楽しくついつい食べ過ぎました。『My京都行きつけのお店』に登録させて頂きます。
ここは、本当に上手いです！ 京都に行ったら是非とも食べていただきたい！ 何を食べても美味しい店はなかやかありませんが、このお店には、それがあります！！ 大将と女将さん、必ずまた伺います
ついまた行ってしまいました。 一度行き、ひとつまみ食べれば店主と女将の人柄、仕事感がわかります。 オススメ中のオススメです。
御主人と女将さん二人で切り盛りされています。手の込んだ仕込みのおばんざいがとにかく美味しい。場所よし 味よし 値段よし 普段使い出来る割烹です。
木屋町のお店。若い大将と女将さんの二人が仲睦まじく切り盛りしているこじんまりとしたお店です。料理、お酒、おもてなし、どれも満足のいく最高レベルですが、値段は普通です。立地条件もコストパフォーマンスは最高レベルだと思います。半分生の鯖寿司は持ち帰りはできませんが、むちゃくちゃ美味しいです。日本酒も厳選されたよいものばかり。料理もお酒もわからなければ、聞けば優しく教えてくれます。隠れ家として、大切な人のおもてなしにぜひ使いたいお店です。
