Really disappointed, too expensive for what it is, the tacos were frankly average with a notion of wanting to save on ingredients ... No avocado in a Mexican is like a car without an engine ... The basic salad was ok, the mojito tasteless well if a little with peppermint which is not the mint use in real mojito ... We ordered 2 margarita's one with Lemon and the other with strawberry with a real beautiful strawberry on the top of the glass which appears proudly in the photo but no strawberry at all in real one ! Ok it was not the season... But you know what? The 2 margarita's that should be taste different had the exact same horrible flavor and very salty... To do well at the limit, they should serve the salt and the lemon apart and not mixing everything and badly dosed in it directly... Despite their trips to Mexico they maybe don't know ... The service was slow and we had to call several times before we were heard. Otherwise badly seated but the decor has the merit of being nice and warm, the various tabasco have saved the dishes, otherwise go your way it is not worth it.

Surprised that despite the great reviews we didnt have sucha good experience..the food portion was tiny compared to the prices. Where it said tortillas on the menu we were given taco sized wraps. There was barely any meat or enough fillings to make a proper taco. The vegetable taco dish had no vegetable and was a just a green salad. The rojas pork dish was meant to be made out of seasonal vegetables but instead had leftover fries in it and not seasonal vegetables as mentioned on the menu. The mojito seemed to made of gin or another alchohol base as well. We were disappointed as the place itself looks amazing and we read great reviews. They definitely also need more staff as the poor lady was run off her feet. Not sure why the food quantity and quality didnt match our expectations or the reviews we had read. Extremely over priced for what you get.
The food is the first authentic Mexican we've had since living in Japan! Everything is made by hand, from scratch. The service was amazing and the price was very good. I definitely recommend the chicken tacos and the desserts. Please stop by if you're in the area!
Get a free dessert for checking in on social media. Good food but a little pricey for the amount.
The food here is top-notch and so much care was put into our meal each time we came. We are vegan and with a little notice the chefs were able to make some of the best Mexican food we've had (and we just came from Mexico a few months back!) We will definitely return for a meal when we visit Kawaguchiko again. ¡Mil Gracias!
