Having just moved back to Tokyo, we were looking for a fridge and washer/dryer for our family of four. Our search brought us to this gem of a recycle shop. So many recycle shops in Tokyo are dismal places with baleful lighting, indifferent staff, and just-OK stuff out on the floor. Here we found helpful people who seemed to enjoy their jobs. And good stuff everywhere, including jewelry, furnishings, and electronics that all appeared to be in good shape. These people seem to have a good eye for used stuff. In the end we bought our washer-dryer here, and our fridge from their other location in Waseda. The fridge is much like the one in the photo below; three years old, clean, functional, and half the price of new. It's the first time in years we've had a fridge that we don't hear 7x24 and it has an ice maker. I also picked up old ex-corporate Dell PC that cost all of 15,000. That's about the price of the Windows license for a new PC, and like most old corporate boxes, this had a Windows 7 license key taped to it that I've used to upgrade to the current Windows for free. I've since fixed up the with some minor upgrades (replaced the power supply and cooling fans) and am now running it at home four months later to do things like edit photos and write Google reviews. It was a good experience all in. The place stood out right away having decent lighting, quality stuff nicely displayed on the clean racks and on the walls. The surf boards in the rafters made it feel more like a fun fashion shop for new stuff, not some a dispirited recycle shop. The engaged staff made it a pleasure to shop here; the antics of our bored kids made them laugh where we've had some less welcoming responses in other places. We bought such a collection of stuff that they offered us a 10% credit.
