Good location. Hotel provide free shuttle to Snow monkey park and within walking distance to train station. Our room with river view and staff are very nice.

Beautiful place to stay at. Hospitality and amenities were top class, refreshments are available at all times in the lobby area. I would definitely go back again if I am in the area.

My only complaint is that I never came here sooner. Lovely place, beautifully welcoming staff. A short journey to see snow monkeys. Also, rooftop dining in the winter inside a globe, what more could one ask for!

An incredible experience. The staff is attentive and friendly. The private kaiseki dinner is incredible. The facilities are unmatched. Well located near the station and by the river. If you can afford it, opt for the private onsen on your balcony; we were in ours nearly a third of our time at the resort. A shining example of Japanese quality and hospitality!

Wonderful staff. Classic ryokan with onsen. Rooftop open onsen with private hot spring on balcony. Welcome drink. Dinner in private dining rooms... nine courses. Great location by small river, snow monkey park 10min drive.

Private in room naturally sourced Onsen. You can include private dining for dinner and breakfast. Need I say more. This place was absolutely fantastic. I came with my wife and we will definitely be back hopefully yearly.

Loved this place. It's in a small onsen town but you don't need to leave the ryokan (more resort than ryokan) really. We had a room (felt like a suite) with a private onsen tub and dinner and breakfast as part of our plan. The tub fits two and is outdoors. The room itself is very large and inviting. The food is what you'd expect at a fantastic ryokan - presented well and delicious. The meals weren't the best we'd ever had at a ryokan but they were innovative including with chefs pushing sushi and tamago carts to individual dining rooms. The owner came to greet us midway through dinner and I saw her bowing out customers who were driving off in the snow. Highly recommended.
