Beautiful waterfall and landscapes. Red leaf not yet in full , probably even more stunning after a week or two. Please be reminded if you drive certain section is prohibited and only allow walking through .

2020年10月25日訪問。 深い深い美しい渓谷でした。 十二沢パーキングに車を停めて散策しました。 紅葉し始めでした。 なかでも八丁暗がりと言われる場所はすごく美しく鹿飛橋の上からずっと眺めていたいほどです。 昼でも暗い渓谷。八丁続く渓谷。 深い深い谷間を清らかな水が流れて行きます。 鹿飛橋は鹿が飛び越える暗い狭い谷間ということらしい。(川幅わずか3m、高さ50m) 猿橋は猿が…どうするんでしょう？ 散策できるコースは途中整備中で全部はまわれませんでした。 上流の八ッ場ダムが完成すると、吾妻渓谷 八丁暗がりもたくさんの観光客が来るのではないでしょうか？ 八ッ場ダムが建設される前の吾妻渓谷に行ってみたかったと強く思いました。 美しい吾妻渓谷をずっと残して欲しいですね。 八丁暗がりいいネーミングです。
