Very much enjoyed it! I chose to do a 45-minute walk from the ryokan, but you can also take a bus that runs once an hour. Walking shoes (or at least regular sneakers) are preferred. It's not huge, and there are people around (there were constantly 2-5 other groups when I visited), but it can be a great place for a picnic or reading!

The water is so incredibly clear. Where the water is still, it looks like glass. Would recommend strongly. Enjoyed it a lot
i found this place trough some vlogs which its says that the water is hot. So due to my curiosity, i asked my bf to visit that place. After a long travel, as we arrived to the place, you'll goin to park first your car to the parking lot ofcourse and there you'll find some cafeteria with too pricey drink [that you can buy drink at a price same as branded coffee(if you know what i mean)] the toilet, dont expect much. One for the boys and one for the girls. There is also for pwd.. The forty thousand potholes group is one minute walk from the parking.. and before going there, i suggest using sneakers and bring flipflops if you want to cool down your feet xD i suggest sneakers cause it is really hard to walk there And as for my expectations, it was really ruined.. the thing is.. water is damn CoLd. Its not hot as the vlogger write to that damn site. But truly indeed the water in the river is stunning just like what you will see in some movies. Before going there i suggest bring your obentou first there is no convinent store nearby.
The water was flowing continuously. I don't know the source. But it's very transparent and satisfactory to watch.
Well worth a visit but unfortunately Google's auto translate might give you some unrealistic expectations. There aren't 40,000 potholes, I know as I counted them but don't let that put you off. In warm weather the river looks so inviting to dive in but please resist the urge as it's just not cricket.
