Took the lake cruise in mid-Oct morning and it was only around 10C. The ride is about 50 minutes with 15 minutes on the marimo (moss ball) observation center. We were rewarded with the fall foliage along the way. Recommend bringing a good insulated jacket.

Check the schedule online as it changes throughout the year. I went yesterday and was able to go on a 15 minute trip while the boat is breaking the ice. It was busy - lots of tourists, but you get lovely views of the lake and Mt Oakan.

It is an enjoyable boat ride with a brief stop to see the unique 'marimo' balls on a little island.

天然のマリモを観察できる展示観察センターは湖中のチュウルイ島にあるので、ここから遊覧船に乗るかモーターボートで行くしかありません。 遊覧船だと所要時間が1時間15分〜1時間25分程度。（出港地で多少時間が異なる）大きい船ですし、波のほぼない湖なので船酔いの心配はしなくても良いでしょう。阿寒湖に来たのであれば乗る価値あります。 便数はシーズンによって異なるようですが、然程多くはないので事前に調べていくと良いです。
