Lake Ashi is just in front of Mac's Jemsty Inn, where we spent a night. We slept on the tatami with two layers of mattress and two layers of blankets.... nice experience of traditional Japanese home. Fuji-san is just a view through the window of our room. The quay of Pirate ship that take us to the cruise to various stops, including Ropeway to Owakudani 大涌谷, is just across the road. Lunch and dinner can be found just within 150m away.

We were unfortunately unable to stay here because of the typhoon however jemsty was very nice to cancel our booking for free. Prior to our trip, they were already very responsive and helpful with any queries i had. Will definitely book with them again if i have a chance next time.

Great option for a cheap night in hakone. Convenient location when you get off the plate ship. Very friendly owner. Careful of the sake. Great breakfast. Would gladly stay again

We had a wonderful time staying here in the Japanese-style room. It was cozy and quiet, the tatami floors smelled amazing and we were sleeping like logs on the futons. The location is perfect to make a Hakone area round-trip, easily accessible, but much less touristy than the Hakone valley. On sunny days you can just walk right outside and see Mt. Fuji. If that wasn't enough, the owner gave us a very warm welcome and offered any advice we could have needed.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a Japanese style room. Mac the host was very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English. The room was nice with air conditioning and ensuite with a good hot water supply. Very conveniently located for the ferry across the lake and bus stop. It's quiet so hard to find dinner options nearby.

Mac was super accomodating and helpful, letting us know the optimal ways to get to tourist destinations around Hakone. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean, with a view of Mt Fuji from our window! Breakfast was also lovely and filling.

Mac, our host, was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the area. He helped us maximize every part of our stay. Found us a great dinner place. We speak very little Japanese and Mac gave us some pointers and answered our many questions.
