Very authentic and good quality Japanese Meal. The person in charge was genuinely polite and courteous. 5/5 for Japanese standard food, quality, and taste. Besides the restaurant is quite near the Chocokunomori station and Hakone Open Air museum.

The 1,500-yen yam mud rice set of this restaurant includes refreshing pickles, a heartwarming poached egg, great rice, and a bowl of awesome yam mud. There're few seats in this restaurant but you could see trains of HAKONE TOZAN RAILWAY passing by the window. This is a more comfortable choice than lining up to eat expensive Italian pasta in the restaurant of THE HAKONE OPEN-AIR MUSEUM.
Great place for an authentic meal! They only have one item on the menu but it's deceivingly tasty and filling. We got the chashu pork for another 300Y along w the meal (1500Y/person). You may have to ask them to show you how to eat it (combine rice and the yamaimo paste in the empty bowl, and then add garnish). The wasabi is strong and very aromatic so don't go crazy with it. The old lady was super friendly! She doesn't speak much English, but will be super helpful with just gesturing. I'd definitely recommend this place to visiting friends n families!
Delicious meal! We thought we'd give it a try on our way to the Hakone Open Air Museum. The gentleman had very basic English but both him and the lady were very lovely. The pickles were delish and you have the opportunity to purchase some there, along with other items on our set tray. Tofu was fresh, wasabi too (super strong), ferment that you could add to rice (good for gut health), great miso and other items. So glad we ate here!
Only a few items available on the menu. Ordered the 1500 yen set with tofu , rice, Japanese pickle, egg and soup... Very bland and not worth the price so not sure about the validity of the reviews
