This ryokan i Nosawa Onsen was really good. It's very close to the skilift (2 min) and a short walk from the center of the city (10 min), restaurants and Onsens. The room and design of the ryokan is classic japanese where you can not go inside with shoes, sleeps on a futon on the floor and the rooms have nice wooden details and tatami floors. The staff is very welcoming and the breakfast is good with both japanese and western dishes to choose from. In the basement is heated storage for skiees, washingmachine, shared shower and an Onsen and a beverage machine. The place is also very clean. You can buy your liftcard at the hotel and the ryokan recommends you a place nearby where you can rent skiees (nosawa sports thanx) which is fine but be aware that you can not get skiees for advanced skiers in the shop nearby, you need to go to the shop in the other end of the city (15 min walk). We got great skiies there but would wish we have had that from the beginning. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definetly come back. The skiarea is also very good and the snow in Japan is amazing.

Excellent place to stay. The place is well kept. Hosts are very sweet and helpful. Be sure to order the Japanese breakfast option which is delicious. Short walk to Karasawa slopes and to the main part of town.
Great place to stay, good location walking distance to everything. Nice and quiet. Host's are lovely, terrific variety of breakfast each morning.
Staff are very helpful. It is a relaxed place with practically all facilities you could need except a proper kitchen. It is not ski to door although advertised as it though... Short walk (3 min in ski boots) up a hill to the Karasawa lifts and a green run bringing you back from the other slopes. You can't ski back down this road. At least in early February. Beer is about 300yen in a vending machine in the basement and centre of town is not too far. No real social area in the hotel to converse.
This is a basic ryokan but the generous service and helpfulness of the inn keeper and owner Saito san makes our entire experience worthwhile
Staff are very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious breakfast and dinner. The onsen is very good after a day skiing. Only down side as a westerner I'm still trying to get used to a futon but it's worth it for the short walk to the lift.

年末から3泊しました。野沢温泉スキー場に行くバス乗り場やリフト乗り場まで徒歩3分くらいです。お部屋にはトイレがあり、和室で落ち着きました。お宿には共同のお風呂があり、16時〜22時に入ることが出来ます。お宿のすぐ近くに無料の外湯「中尾の夢」があります。（無料の外湯は熱めなので、妊婦はのぼせ注意です。） 朝と夜のお料理はボリューム満点！おかずの種類が沢山で毎回楽しみでした。夜は野沢菜の漬物付き！ 妊婦していてスキーが出来ない私にお宿の方はとても親切にしていただき、お心遣いがとても嬉しかったです。ゴンドラで山頂まで行き、初めてのスキー場を見て感動しました。 お宿から温泉街まで歩いて12分程です。また次来る機会があれば、ベルク丸金屋さんに泊まりたいと思います。ありがとうございました！
