Sitting at the comfy sofa and being embraced by the stunning lake, I feel nothing but peace here.

A good place to stop for tea break. The building is beautifully reconstruct with breathtaking view of lake Chizenji. It has an exhibition area tell the tales of how Nikko bacame foreigner deplomat favorite get away. If you want to have a tea break, you should try to have it early than usual tea time to avoid the long wait. The tea is good but the scone is just so so.
This former embassy villa is quite beautiful and has a great view of the lake. We had tea and scones upstairs and enjoyed the view. Tea a little on the expensive side but it was a good experience. The walk to the embassy is also quite nice.
Beutiful and quiet .Not many tourists.A good place to relax and kill time.
