The Toyo University-UCLA Extension Center for Global Education’s BEC (Business English Communication) program is a series of 5 Business English Communication courses which all build on the concepts covered in Trompenaars cultural diversity concepts and Hofstede's culture and organisations models and these underpin the basis of the cross culture / intercultural communication parts of the course. Business skills such as meeting skills, negotiations, and presentations also play a major part of the curriculum and Business English content and language learning apps round out the current program. In addition, Toyo University’s Center for Global Education also runs the BEST (Business English Skills and Training) program and these courses focus on Professional Presentations and the promotion of Creativity and Innovative Thinking.
