The Nagatoro riverside park is packed with tourists during Koyo season, but definitely worth taking a look. Beautiful scenery, the colors of the trees and river look like a painting. A boat ride is available at the place.

Extremely beautiful area. Came during the fall to check out the foliage but wish that we (1) came much earlier due to ridiculous traffic (static lineup on the exit ramp from the highway was at least 2 km long) (2) Rented/brought bikes A lot of great scenery along the river but beware of minimal parking. Planning a strict schedule is highly recommended.
It's nice. Good view lots of things to do. Lots of English to help if you don't speak Japanese.
Nagatoro is a nice little escape with some neat rock formations, cool river, and a quiet town. You can ride in an traditional boat or white water raft. Or you can hang out by the river.
Beautiful river with a few waterfalls along the trails. Shame I couldn't see the red leaves.
