Super efficient service with super taste. Found the place by accident, look up the menu and decided to order grilled beef on top of rice, comes out with salad and soup. Big portion as much as JPY 700 ish...

this is a local resto and my favourite was tonkatsu set, cheap and tasty. order by machine but in japanese menu. resto only in tokyo and osaka
While my friend and I were wandering hopelessly in search of quality food which we would not have to wait for, we stumbled across this hidden gem. We were lucky enough to grab the last two seats and we were treated to a hearty meal!
If you want a not so long wait, this is one eatery you can try. Price is reasonable.
Chikara meshi is a unique japanese restaurant available in nishi shinjuku and ikebukuro. It serves delicious grilled beef, pork and chicken at very reasonable price, starting from 450 .
I believe it is the best Beef bowl you can get. Overall good quality/quantity/price balance. Unfortunately not many stores around so not easy to access. If you are around one, give it a go!
Big tasty rice bowl with roasted beef. Kind of better than expected and importantly it is not expensive.
