The best service one can expect here will be met if you... 1. Read their website and have all of the relevant paperwork with you (making an appointment online beforehand is the ONLY way to apply) 2. Have whomever is sponsoring your visa to go to bat for you with any extra paperwork the center may ask for. 3. Go early, in case 1 and 2 don’t work and you have a chance to make a return visit on the same day. 4. Leave enough time between when you apply and when you expect to depart (A month and a half in my case.) As of this posting, the visa center is on the 12th floor of the building in the photo. Cafe Veloce is on the ground floor.

I came here late last year to apply for a visa for a short term visit. There were two kind and friendly women and a serious but very helpful man who walked me through the process. Even though there was some trouble with documents, the man gave clear instructions and let me return later in the day to fix things up. I would recommend checking their website to make sure your documents fit the requirements. Also, the office itself was nice and new, and the wait time wasn't too bad. Nice experience overall!

Nice office and great staff! Got application done in 2 hours, better than expected.it was crowded because too many people are racing to China.

Extremely rude staff working here. I went there to hand in some documents for a China work visa and got turned away without explanation. The Chinese man looked at my papers, passport, etc. and then asked me where I was from - like, really? You just saw my passport and my application forms and you are asking where I'm from? I told him I got my university and criminal background check notorized in London, and then he asked me, \ Where is London?\. Seriously, this visa office is a joke. He took my papers away and came back few mins later and told me to go to the UK embassy.. asked him why and he totally ghosted me. He waved other people behind me to come forward as if I wasn't there and completely ignored me. I took another ticket and asked another Chinese woman, and she told me the same thing but didn't say why. They should get rid of these people working here and replace them with people with better manners and customer service. Also the visa office moved address 3 times, but they were too lazy to update their website. I was told by a Japanese maintenance guy that they moved office when I went to their 2nd address. If I could give lower than one star, I would.
