Slightly hard to find off the main streets, but what a gem. The menu is only in Japanese, so bring along a smart phone with the Google Translate app and use this to decipher the menu. I ordered something I wasn't sure, but man oh man was it a pleasant surprise. I feel as though anything you could possibly order would have been incredible. The service was quick, the workers spoke no English and I was the only non Japanese person there. Can it get any more authentic? The noodles were so soft and lush, the soup was tasty and the meat was soft and tenderizing to the soul. Such a good way to warm up on a cold night.

The queue will be huge and full of locals because it is actually pretty small. But it passes quickly since people eat fast and with the usual Japanese efficiency. In any case you will not regret the wait time. This place is a MUST TRY if you love Udon. Also try their tempura. It's worth it, and the prices at insanely affordable.
This is fast food Japanese at its finest. Be prepared to queue, but the line moves fast because the patrons eat and run. However, the real winner here are the noodles. Soft and chewy and cooked to perfection. Add on the price (500 yen for kamatama), and it’s one of the best deals going. Highly recommend.
This was the best udon I have ever tasted. Udon noodle are super fresh and cooked perfection. Broths are elegant and delicious. Great restaurant.
