What a great find! Small museum but packed with interesting architecture and contemporary art pieces. Built by a large Korean IT company and designed by a famous Japanese architect. Highly recommend.

Great location! Situated at the starting point of the main shopping streets of Yufuin. A very calm, serene 'zen' atmosphere.The museum offers a very intimate and personal viewing experience and the architecture is stunning. Looking forward to the planned extension of the museum.

Great museum in Yufuin. the museum was designed by Kengo Kuma. The building looks modern although materials are traditionally known as yakisugi. Especially, I love the outside corridor as I could enjoy a variety of plants changing from season to season while I walked across the corridor. Two main space in the museum was very simple. There were a few exhibits. This simple space reminds me of Wabi-sabi. The staff explained the detail of the exhibits, so I could understand deeply. You needed to make a reservation in advance. The one thing that was not happy about no time to stroll the yard. All in all, I highly recommend. (I visited there in December)

I joined an Korean guide, even though I know neither Japanese nor Korean. But I still had a good time, thanks to Han, who tried really hard to explain everything for me. What a lovely place.

The building and the exhibits of the museum were excellent. The view from the second floor was very beautiful. I really had a good time.
