Fantastic museum with rotating world-class exhibits! Lots of measures being taken for COVID-19 atm, but the upside is that it’s not crowded at all. If you like a leisurely-pace, it’s a great time to visit. Check the online site for current and future exhibits. If you visit here after the shrine, you can take an elaborate escalator system up to the top to get to the museum entrance. Honestly, it’s a fantastic space for art and ancient items on display.

Huge museum in Fukuoka. Unfortunately, only the 4th floor was opened when visited. Parking is available but you need to take a walk up to the museum building.

Very huge and beautiful. Right now, only one floor is open due to corona but it’s still great! Highly recommend

Beautiful museum with many interesting things to see. Good for people with low mobility (wide halls, places to sit, and escalator into the premises) but I wasn't able to see whether or not there was elevator access. Staff were friendly and able to answer the few questions I had about the current exhibition. It is clearly signed where photos are and aren't permitted but if in doubt, staff will assist. Audio guide was in English and contained a lot of helpful information. The temple gardens outside are amazing so ensure you allow plenty of time to explore both inside and out!
