The flavor profile of the sauce is a little different from your typical Japanese curry, it’s a little heavier on traditional Indian flavor and there’s not much sweetness. It is nicely spiced and definitely a flavor bomb. You can choose the heat between 0-70, I opted for 5 and even that had a pretty nice kick. The complimentary chocolate ice cream at the end of the meal was a pleasant surprise. The area has plenty of cheap curry houses, but this one seems to draw the biggest crowd around lunch.

if you love curry, this is a must place to go. my favorite is chicken and vegetable. i’ve been eating this curry for more than 10 years but i never got tired of it and eat this once in a while regularly. this shop has many fans for long time.

In Jimbocho, Japanese curry cafes are 10 a penny and fiercely competitive. Ethiopia is a seasoned champ, offering jumbo serves and curries packed with meat and vegetables. The spice level goes from zero to a nuclear-thermal 70! Pay at the machine as you enter the wonderfully retro shop.

The curry was good, more Indian style instead of the sweeter Japanese style as advertised on Google maps. Tried the level 1 beef curry and it wasn't that spicy. Giving it a 3.5, it wasn't bad, just not sure why there are the long queues when there are so many other curry places around.

Ordered chicken and vege curry for 1200 yen tasted so goood. Hot and spicy, not just spicy but tasteful!!
