Gindaco is easily one of my favourite Takoyaki chain outlets and the taste is unbeatable. Crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside, these addictive little pops go so well with a pint of ice cold beer. These are definitely quite filling and if you have a tray to yourself, it’s as good as a meal! I also love that Gindaco is not overpriced like many places in Japan. Can’t wait to return again.

This franchise is always my choice for quick bites of takoyaki. The quality is pretty consistent at all store, not wow but enjoyable, and prices are reasonable. The store at Shinjuku is the same. Service was good and friendly. They have seasonal drinks throughout the year and it's fun to try them. This time I had the fall delicacy grape drink and it was pretty good.

Food quality is ok. But the service is reallyy really bad, which is really the worst I had encountered so far in my life...............

This is a shop in Kabukicho where you can enjoy takoyaki and drinks. Takoyaki was tasty, and the highball was cold and so tasty.

Did not experience the bad service towards foreigners when we visited, perhaps speaking Japanese helped. Most of the workers in stores in Shinjuku are not Japanese, and this branch of Gindaco is no different. Most of the staff working here are non-Japanese providing the most quintessential Japanese street food to customers. I always enjoy Takoyaki, and since this chain is available everywhere, it's like the McDonald's of the Takoyaki world. They have a decent sized dine-in area if you choose to eat inside and burn through your mouth. I prefer the take-home option where I can enjoy it at my pace and not have the whole restaurant stare at me while I try to fan cold air into my mouth to cool down the lava I just threw into my mouth.
