Fun little ropeways for under 1000 yen round trip in December 2019. The top does not have a lot to do, but there are some excellent views of Lake Biwa, cats, and a shrine for love. Should have brought someone with me. Ended up taking a picture for some other couple instead. The gold-painted Torii and shrine at the top was unique, too.

This is a beautiful spot off the beaten path of non-Japanese tourists. It has a great view of Lake Biwa and a rich history.

Ropeway that goes up the the top of an old castle and temple. Costs 500 yen one way or 890 return. Leaves every 15 minutes.
