You can get there by bus from major railway station, it will take 15-20 minutes. Used to use the place for the event of choir club. The place is great for having a small party and you can have bath as a facility. Food is also good and cheap. At winter night, you might be able to see some stars in the sky, while the buildings around tiny but clearly shines.

Just went there for a conference. The meeting room was nicely located and the building was, well, interesting. But the room itself was not special and they had problems with the heating. Wasn't great, really. Therefore the low rating. The housing there might be nice, but I didn't stay over night. So I can't tell.
The scenery is beautiful during the winter. I really loved the foods at the cafeteria.

北野駅から野猿街道のやや急坂を登りきった峠に大学セミナーハウスがある。 八王子在住のほとんどの方はああそう言えばあの辺りにあったかな、程度の認識だと察する。 ツーリングでたまたま気が向いたので寄ってみた。 まず目を引いたのは、本館のドラスティックなデザインだった。 角度を変えて数枚シャッターを切った。 せっかくと思いロビーを見学した。 受付の女性が、数枚のパンフを渡してくれた。10数分やり取りさせて頂いた。 私が漠然と持っていたイメージとは、かなり違っていた。 社会人が利用出来ることを知り自分もその時がくれば、訪れてみたいと思った。 敷地面積22.400坪を有する広大な宿泊研修施設なのだ。本館以外に記念館はじめ用途に応じた他5.6館ほど広大な敷地に点在している。 また、280名の宿泊室と150名まで利用可能なセミナー室もある。 会員の大学は、ほとんどが首都圏であるのは残念だったがこれは仕方ないだろう。 あと会員校のOB.OG制度はなく、社会人枠になってしまうのは該当する方にとっては少し寂しいかもしれない。 最後に、散策と植物がお好きな方はおよそ43種の樹木をパンフ片手に巡るのもコロナで運動不足解消に一役かうであろう。
